What’s the best movie-related YouTube video you’ve ever watched?
Main Post:
Ever watched a video and thought, “This is exactly what I wanted to see... wish there were more like this”?
I’m starting a film-focused YouTube channel and I’d love to know—what’s the one movie-related video that completely hooked you?
Maybe it changed what you thought about a film, taught you something about storytelling, hit you with nostalgia, or made you fall in love with cinema even more.
What was it, and what made you stick with it till the end?
Top Comment: For me, Every Frame a Painting will always be the gold standard and the biggest part of that is that they are incredibly efficient about getting their points across in a concise and clear manner. I see a lot of film YouTubers release massive video essays that fail to convey in several hours what Tony and Taylor convey in 5 minutes. I know the YouTube algorithm heavily favours long content, but I’ve truly just never seen a feature length video essay that felt like it had enough to say to justify the runtime.
